ONE FINAL SLEW OF THANK YOUS

*Takes a deep breath*

Our sincerest thanks to:

  • Lost Toys Records, for putting their suitcase of approval on our CD, and for ensuring its songs will soon be hanging like bright musical apples from your local branch of iTunes (and, for that matter, from the branches of most other good, online musical orchards)
  • everyone who helped us celebrate our album launch in London on Sunday
  • Chris and Mark at Musicborn
  • Buzzard Lope and Johnny Parry (every single one of you)
  • Paddy and Cally
  • Arttu, Jean, James, V, John and Jonathan for their generosity with sofa beds at different points over the last 10 days
  • and finally –

*Passes out from asphyxiation*

Das ist ein liebeslied...

We had a lovely evening at Tagungshaus, Bredbeck last Friday. And here it is, a week later, sprouting up from the internet in a parade of pitches and pixels. Thank you, 21st century. And thank you, Songs & Whispers. :)

PRE-ORDER ‘…LOVES YOU’, AND BUY YOUR TICKETS FOR THE LAUNCH!

Our new album ‘…Loves You’ is now available for pre-order from our bandcamp page. :)

This means you can buy the album now, and your download or CD & download package will be sent to you by carrier dove* when it’s released, on August 21st. (If you somehow missed clicking on either of the links above, here it is in longhand: http://thememorialfund.bandcamp.com/album/loves-you ;) )

Why pre-order? Well, for one thing, you’ll immediately get two songs in download form: I Need A Room and Jenny Was An Octopus.  For another, spending a few brief minutes with someone and then waiting weeks to see them again is what love is all about. :)

The night of the album’s release (August 21st), we’ll be celebrating with a special show at the Wilmington Arms in Clerkenwell, London. This is likely to be the only time we get to visit the big city this year – if you can make it along, it would be wonderful to see you.

Doors open at 7, entry is £5 (£4.50 plus booking fee in advance) and both Johnny Parry and Buzzard Lope will be playing support.

Thanks to the super-efficient Musicborn, you can buy tickets here: http://www.musicglue.net/musicborn/

As you’ve not seen Johnny Parry or Buzzard Lope before (if you had, you wouldn’t be reading this, you’d be busy entering your card details somewhere at the business end of that last link) check them out here and here. :)

That’s it. Except to say that by pre-ordering the album – or buying a ticket for the launch show – you’ll be helping to fund our upcoming tour of Holland and Germany. If you do either of these things, many, many thanks in advance. We love you.

Yours, Kieran

‘…LOVES YOU’: OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE SET

Like the headline says, we’ve now set an official* release date for our new album ‘…loves you.’ :)

It’s the 21st August 2011. (Just a collection of letters and numbers denoting our position in relation to the sun and temporal distance from specific historic events, I know, but a very exciting collection of them for me and a certain wooden owl.)

Thanks to Musicborn, we’ll be celebrating with a launch event that very night in London’s Wilmington Arms.

Johnny Parry and Buzzard Lope are supporting. Yes, both of them. I know. It’s like all our Christmases coming at once, and every one of them being white. And gloriously dramatic. :)

Tickets available soon.

Love Kieran

*Official, in so far as it’ll be available to buy in digital and physical form, wherever you are in the world. (i.e. Not just available to people who know where we live.)

JENNY WAR EIN TINTENFISCH! (or… European Tour!)

We’re off to Germany and Holland with the mighty Buzzard Lope, thanks to Songs & Whispers. :)

(And yes, we’re pretty damn excited about it.)

‘We’ here, means me, Windom, and for selected dates, Mr Patrick Durkan. (He could hardly refuse, living as he now does, deep in the upper lands of the Netherlands.)

We’ll be on the continent from 16th July until the 7th August: a full – and somewhat subject to change – list of the shows can be found on our myspace page.

Wunderbar. :)

Love Kieran
